Meal Ticket Allocations

Information Memorandum: Meal Ticket Allocation for Study-Block Candidates

This memorandum outlines the allocation of meal tickets for candidates actively participating in the Study-Block of the Multi-Roster program. The meal ticket system for Study-Block participants aligns with that of the general workforce within the Multi-Roster framework.

(a) Standard Daily Allocation

As a Study-Block candidate, you will receive one (1) meal ticket for each day you are rostered for Study-Block activities. This ensures you have access to convenient and affordable meals at participating food service venues on your scheduled learning days.

Exceptions: In certain circumstances, such as a full-day excursion organized with your study group, you may be allocated additional meal tickets. Any such exceptions will be clearly communicated in advance by your Study-Group Leader or through the Multi-Roster app.

(b) Option to Purchase "Days Balance" Meal Tickets

To provide greater flexibility and potential cost savings, Study-Block candidates have the option to purchase meal tickets for the remaining days of the current fortnightly pay cycle at a discounted rate (subsidised by the government) from the Multi-Roster company. The discount is set at 25% (subject to the government-determined rate of discount, which may be adjusted).

The "Days Balance" refers to the number of days in the 14-day pay cycle for which you have not yet received a free meal ticket but may wish to purchase at the concessional discount.

Example: If you have six (6) rostered study-days within the current fortnightly period, you would be eligible to purchase meal tickets for the remaining days in that cycle at the discounted rate. The number of discounted meal tickets available for purchase would be:

Number of Discounted Tickets=14(total days)−6(rostered study-days)=8 meal tickets

These 8 meal tickets can be purchased at the "Days Balance" special discount rate. This allows you to plan your meals for the remainder of the pay cycle at a reduced cost.

(c) Government Promotions and Special Offers

The government may, at its discretion, introduce seasonal or special promotions and discounts on meal tickets. These offers could provide additional value or further reduce the cost of meals for Study-Block candidates and the general workforce. Any such promotions will be communicated through official government channels and the Multi-Roster app.

(d) Food Bank App

To facilitate easy management of your meal tickets, budgeting, and tracking of your food expenditure, all citizens will have access to the Food Bank app. This application will allow you to:
  1. View your current balance of meal tickets.
  2. Track your meal ticket usage.
  3. Manage your personal food budget.
  4. See available government promotions and special offers.
  5. Purchase "Days Balance" meal tickets at the discounted rate.
The Food Bank app is a central tool for effectively managing your meal provisions within the Multi-Roster system.
